When someone I consider to be a master metal fabricator does a video on common repairs we all can use, it's time to pay attention. Only wish it was as easy to do as it is to watch, but it certainly makes it less scary for us hobby level car folks.

I am doing tankless welding. Old car sheet metal what kind of wattage do I use I keep burning holes.

Sadly I don't see how mig is any good. The time you spend grinding is a waste. Tig and Oxy/Acet lets you dress the metal as you go. The job is done. No going back and grinding both sides then re welding the pin holes. MIG is mean't for structural stuff not sheet metal.

The difference between Karl and other body panel specialists is that he could make a perfect repair in the middle of a field, with just basic tools and gas welding cylinders. A real talant!

Really enjoyed this video today. Saw a forum where your name was mentioned saying that you have probably forgotten more about metal working than most people know. I keep whatching to see what's next on the '60 Cadillac. Thanks for your excellent videos.

this guy takes panel beating to another level. welding gloves, because no one likes the smell of burnt 'pork' in the evening.

Gonna give some 0.6mm wire a try. Never gone that low before.

Thank you for this..I always hesitated putting those flame kits on my 32 3 window, because I didn’t want to interrupt the engine power, I want to be able to bang thru the gears while throwing 10 foot flames out my shotgun exhaust.I knew there must be a way..thanks for showing me.
